More about Jordan

Jordan Arma is the Chief Financial Officer of 1440 Foods, Inc, a leading functional snacking and active lifestyle platform. Its offerings include protein bars, powders, ready to drink (“RTD”), and healthy snacks under four brands: Pure Protein, Fit Crunch, MET-Rx, and Body Fortress.

In his current role as CFO, Jordan is responsible for the overall financial health and leadership of the organization overseeing FP&A, Accounting, Data/Business Intelligence and IT.

Jordan joined 1440 Foods in January 2022 as Senior Vice President of Finance after the Active Nutrition Division of The Bountiful Company (formerly Nature’s Bounty) was acquired by 4x4 Capital. Prior to joining as SVP of Finance at 1440, Jordan was a Senior Director at The Bountiful Company overseeing all transactional accounting operations and treasury functions. In August 2021, The Bountiful Company was acquired by Nestle Health Sciences, where Jordan stayed on and was a key member in carving out 3 major portions of the Bountiful portfolio, one of which was the Active Nutrition Division, that included the current 1440 brands of Pure Protein, MET-Rx and Body Fortress. Shortly thereafter, Jordan saw the opportunity to help 4x4 Capital build the newly acquired brands and decided to leave Nestle Health Sciences to run the operations day to day.

Upon his arrival at 1440 Foods the brands were being carved out of The Bountiful Company and functioning under an 18-month TSA. Jordan played a crucial role in getting the brands to run independently, which meant the hiring of multiple critical functions, creation of accounting principles and policies, financial reporting, full suite of data and business intelligence (including IT operations), as well as the implementation of all new systems, including a brand-new ERP and over 30 integration points. Within 9 months of joining 1440, the newly formed teams successfully stood up full operations, exited the TSA, and created a best-in-class platform for future growth.

While at 1440 Foods, Jordan and the team have successfully implemented numerous operating margin improvement initiatives that has resulted in over a 12% improvement in EBITDA margins and generating significant free cash flows to support future growth for the organization.  As a result of this significant growth, in December 2023, 1440 Foods welcomed Bain Capital as an investor to help accelerate the momentum for 1440 foods in the rapidly growing active nutrition category. With the rapid growth of the Company, margin improvements, and new investor, 1440 Foods made the strategic decision to significantly reinvest in the business and verticalize manufacturing operations. This was done to increase customer service, increase flexibility in the operations and drive margin improvement. In April 2024, 1440 Foods officially occupied a 200,000 sqft facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has built out a full manufacturing facility the will be fully operational in FY25.

Additionally, in November 2024, 1440 Foods acquired Fit Crunch, a leading, vertically-integrated protein bar brand making 1440 Foods one of the largest protein bar players in the active nutrition space.

Prior to joining 1440 Foods, Jordan held CFO, SVP Finance and Controller roles across various public and private companies in CPG and Technology.  He started his career at EY where he obtained his CPA and audited multiple large and mid-size public companies before leaving as an Audit Manager.

Jordan earned his BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, graduating Cum Laude.Jordan enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their three sons. When not working, you will probably find him on a soccer or baseball field coaching and eating a protein bar. After his family, Jordan’s passions are sports, most notably soccer since he played Division 1 college soccer, and food (clearly the reason he loves working for 1440 Foods where sports and nutrition come together).
