Lisa S. Goldman, CPA, TEP, M.TAX
Partner at Berdon LLP
Lisa S. Goldman specializes in international taxation. She creates strategic domestic and international tax minimization opportunities for her clients, who are high net-worth global business leaders and multi-generational families. Ms. Goldman regularly structures both the holdings and transactions in their non-U.S. corporations, trusts, estates, and other entities. These frequently include diversified real estate, private companies, and other alternative asset classes.
Her clients include many foreign nationals with residencies that span the world, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa. She regularly works collaboratively with their legal counsel and family offices, and finds that a team-centric approach is the best path to value creation.
Ms. Goldman earned the prestigious TEP designation (Trust and Estate Practitioner) from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). STEP is the leading international professional body of advisors on the structuring of assets by individuals, families, and businesses across the generations. STEP has 20,000 members across 95 countries, and less than 20 of the NY chapter's 300 members are CPAs.
Ms. Goldman began her career with Ernst & Young and Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and later was a partner in another New York CPA firm, where she led the international tax and personal advisory practices. She also worked in the private sector as the Principal International Tax Analyst for Timken Corporation (NYSE: TKR), a $2 billion manufacturer, for which she traveled to China, Japan, and Mexico on international acquisition and restructuring projects.

Brad Caracciola is co-founder and CEO of Ground Force Logistics, a non-asset-based freight and logistics brokerage firm, and CEO of Ground Force Freight, an asset-based trucking company with a focus on the inland transportation of ocean and rail containers. Brad is also Managing Member of CargoHorse, a web-based platform which provides a marketplace for Less-Than-Truckload shippers to manage, shop for rates with dozens of Carriers, and book shipments instantly online, 24/7.
After leaving his job as an equity trader, in 2005, Brad began his career in the freight industry by arranging for the movement of shipments while in a small Farmingdale office with his partner (and brother), Tom. In 2012, he facilitated merger with another freight brokerage firm, bringing on a third partner, while expanding the expertise of the team and the service offerings to customers. Looking to vertically integrate, in 2014, Brad and his team acquired the assets of a New Jersey based trucking firm, and Ground Force Freight was created. Since then, Brad has helped lead the companies to year over year growth while developing technology, like an online Drayage Rater, the CargoHorse platform, and other web-based tools. In late 2019, He and Tom acquired the shares of the third partner, and have aggressive 2020 growth plans.
