Michele Calen Yen is a Manager with PKF O’Connor Davies and has over 35 years of accounting and auditing experience.  Her experience includes two years with the County of Nassau Comptroller’s Office and eight years as their auditor.  She served as the Assistant Controller for the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island for five years.  She has provided financial statement preparation services and client assistance to various municipalities and non-profits including closing out capital projects, grants management, and review of internal control systems.

Michele contributes her time to various associations, many as a committee or board member. She has been a presenter for the New York Government Finance Officers’ Association and Co-Chair of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants Government Accounting and Auditing Conference.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Michele joined the Institute of Management Accountants as student member when she attended St. John’s University, Queens.  She has been on many committees and served as the Long Island Chapter’s President for the 1993-1994 program year.  She is currently serving on the Board as a Past President and was Moderator of the Chapter’s April 2021 Breakfast Webinar on Robotic Process Automation.

Eva L. Casale, CISO
Senior Vice President of Information Technology, Suffolk Federal Credit Union

Eva L. Casale is Senior Vice President of Information Technology for Suffolk Federal Credit Union. She has been at the credit union since 2015. In this position, Casale is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the Information Technology department including management, implementation, cyber security, usability of technology and computer systems and system information security architecture. She is responsible for analyzing these technologies in order to determine the best options that will benefit the organization’s membership in support of the credit union’s mission and goals, while providing development opportunity to her internal team.

Eva joined Suffolk Federal in 2015 as Vice President of Information Technology. Prior to joining Suffolk Federal, Eva previously held positions such as Chief Information Officer at Ocean Financial (formerly Oceanside Christopher Federal Credit Union) in Oceanside NY. She has been working in Information Technology for 30 years and is a certified CISO.

Casale is an extreme distance ultra-marathon runner, who has completed over 130 marathons and ultra-marathons and has currently raised over $350K for several charities. In 2015, Casale created TEAM EVA (Every Veteran Appreciated) to support, raise awareness and honor veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country by running 7 marathons (184 miles) in 7 days on Long Island each year. This year’s event was June 6 – June 12th where she visited over 100 point of honor and placed over 300 flowers and American flags.

Thomas DeMayo, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CIPP/US, MCSE, CEH, CCFE, CHFI, CPT

Principal, PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP

Thomas DeMayo is a Principal in the Cyber Risk Management Group of PKF O’Connor Davies and is responsible for the implementation and design of the Firm’s cybersecurity service client offerings, internal and external audit programs and testing procedures. His cybersecurity services relate to threat and vulnerability management, governance, privacy, incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery and computer forensics.

He has extensive experience with securing and managing information risk across a wide range of industries including commercial entities, hospitality, not-for-profit, governmental, healthcare, private schools and higher education. He is also a computer forensic specialist and can assist with the acquisition and analysis of data in a forensically sound and legally-approved manner.

Tom specializes in the areas of information threat and vulnerability management, PCI-DSS compliance, SOX 404 IT Controls, HIPAA, COBIT, and ISO 27001. He has helped many organizations achieve their compliance obligations through intensive and meaningful compliance gap analysis, cyber and information security risk assessments, privacy assessments and penetration tests.  He has also made numerous presentations on cybersecurity before client and industry groups and has written extensively in this area. Tom graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Wagner College.
