Message from the President:
I would like to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, Safe New Year.
Our board has voted to continue meetings Virtually through March 2022. The health and safety of our members comes first, although we miss seeing one another in person, we know that this is the right decision at this point in time. We will revisit the subject as to the April Meeting being either in person or virtual, depending on the Covid situation, and the CDC recommendations.
Our next event, January 25th morning interactive webcast will be our annual Tax Update, narrated by Tom Rosenthal and featuring presenters Joe Pizzimenti and Rory Cahill of Baker Tilly. The next evening interactive webcast is February 8th, The Value of Business Coaching. The evening will be facilitated by Davi Tserpelis and feature speakers Fig Annunizato (ClaimFox), Bob Doyle (The Alternative Board) and Marc Miller (MLM Coaching & Consulting). Both webcasts will include our virtual networking prior to the program presentations. We have always been known for great networking opportunities due to the diverse nature of our membership and guests, and this has not changed during these challenging times. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback, about being able to network with 4 or 5 people at a time, and them move forward to the next virtual networking room, if you have not tried it, you should sign on early and give it a try. It is nice to see old friends and meet new friends.
I would encourage all our members to go to our web site and see all of the sponsorship opportunities available. It is because of our generous sponsors we are able to put on all of our wonderful programs and continue with all of the outreach that we do for the community, as well as all of our partner schools.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our membership for their patience and cooperation, and our board for stepping up to the challenge of reinventing the LI Chapter as a Virtual Educational and Networking Platform, that we have attracted not only local people to our meetings, but we have had attendees from all over the country and other countries as well. We believe this attests to the quality of the topics and panels that we have presented thus far.
Looking forward to seeing you at our one of our events.
President Long Island Chapter IMA
