Barbara DeMatteo is an accomplished professional whose Human Resources experience spans over 35 years. In supporting businesses in varied industries across the United States, Barbara continually develops her knowledge of federal and state employment regulations, strengths in employee relations, interviewing, training as well as coaching supervisors and managers.

Barbara acts in the capacity of a company's outsourced HR function in providing guidance on the most effective way to handle employee situations and limit liability. Writing and revising employee handbooks, developing meaningful and targeted job descriptions, developing and implementing performance management programs, and nurturing HR professionals through on site mentoring are her strengths.

This comprehensive experience adds credibility to the training programs she develops and delivers to supervisors and managers and allows her to connect with trainees in a realistic and impactful way. Her mission is to develop 'Managers of Process' into more valuable 'Managers of People'.

Barbara's training and professional certifications include a professional designation from the American Compensation Association. She is a certified DiSC® trainer and she serves on a number of community organization committees.

Jeffrey M. Schlossberg is a Principal in the Long Island, New York, Office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Mr. Schlossberg has devoted his entire career to the employment law field. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals and is an editor of the firm's EPL Advisor Blog.

Mr. Schlossberg has extensive experience in handling all aspects of the employer-employee relationship. Areas of concentration include: employment discrimination prevention and litigation; workplace harassment policy development and compliance; social media and information privacy in the workplace; family and medical leave; disability matters; wage and hour investigations and litigation; non-competition agreements; and corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Schlossberg has defended against claims such as sexual harassment, age, race, national origin and disability discrimination for public and private companies in industries such as media, technology, airlines, aircraft components, restaurants, supermarkets, securities, medical, manufacturing, cosmetics, food processing, software, clothing, vitamins and nutritional products, and many other employers of varying size throughout the metropolitan area and across the country.

Mr. Schlossberg lectures frequently about various topics to trade and professional associations, such as the Hauppauge Industrial Association. Mr. Schlossberg is also an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association and is a Past Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Committee. Mr. Schlossberg is an appointed member of the Employment Law Panel of arbitrators for National Arbitration and Mediation.

Christine Malafi chairs the firm's Corporate department, one of the most robust teams in the New York region. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, routine and complex transactions, labor and employment issues (including sexual harassment prevention policies and training), and other business matters, as well as municipal, insurance coverage, and fraud issues. She routinely represents buyers and sellers in multimillion dollar transactions (from technology companies to manufacturers to healthcare businesses) and serves in a general counsel role for many of the firm's internationally-based clients.


Prior to joining the firm, Christine was senior corporate counsel to Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc., where she handled a variety of national and international corporate matters. In 2004, Christine became Suffolk County Attorney, serving as the chief legal officer of the County for eight years. In that role, Christine supervised a team of over 65 attorneys and 50 support staff, and managed a budget of $15 million. The first woman and youngest person ever to serve in the position, Christine focused on obtaining jury verdicts in favor of the County, making fewer settlements, enforcing anti-discrimination laws, and protecting children from harm.

Christine has taught undergraduate and law school classes on litigation, legal research, and writing at Long Island University, C.W. Post, and Touro Law Center. She has also lectured extensively on municipal issues, insurance coverage issues, and claim handling.

Prior to joining Omni Funding and Omni Business Solutions as their CFO, Arthur Sanders, CPA was a Senior Partner in the accounting firm of Israeloff, Trattner & Co., CPAs, PC where he was a member of the Firm's Litigation and Valuation Consulting Group. He was ultimately responsible for client contact, development and satisfaction in providing the Firm's broad range of services in accounting, auditing, tax, technology and management consulting areas, in accordance with client needs. These responsibilities included working closely with attorneys as well as the Chief Executive, Financial Officers and Board of Directors of the client. Mr. Sanders had a diverse client list, which included companies in the field of entertainment and communication, health, construction, real estate and professional services.

Mr. Sanders' areas of expertise include budget and cost analysis, litigation support, business valuation, expert testimony, human resource management, financial planning and control. Mr. Sanders had been instrumental in overseeing client operations in the areas of budget, internal control, tax and estate planning and financial management. As a CPA for over 50 years, Mr. Sanders has an extensive background in financial reporting and management advisory services related to client financing needs, management information, tax compliance, acquisition, sale, real estate conversion and public offering.

Mr. Sanders has served as President of the Hauppauge Industrial Association and is now a lifetime board member of the HIA. He has also served as President and is currently a member of the board of the Institute of Management Accountants.. He has served and is still active as Treasurer and a member of the board of many non-profit organizations as well as being a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Sanders has an undergraduate degree from Queens College. Mr. Sanders started working with Omni Funding Corporation in 1980 when he was the Partner in charge of the Omni account and continued until his retirement on June 30, 2010. Shortly after retirement from the accounting firm, Mr. Sanders began his position as Comptroller at Omni where he continues utilizing all of his experience in the above areas overseeing the accounting department and working with the President and the Board of Directors in all areas of finance, management, marketing and human resources.

Mr. Sanders has been published in the Journal of Accountancy and is a past recipient of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award. Mr. Sanders and his wife Jan live in Woodbury and are the proud Grandparents of five Grandchildren.
